VPUSERINFO.NSF

You can check the VPUSERINFO.NSF on the sametime server. Looking at the setPrivacy view you can pull up the document for each user, if the visible field doesn't have a value they're available. If it has a value then the buddies see person field will have the list of users that they allow to see their status. Hope that helps.
